• XRP, Zcash, Hyperliquid and Shiba Inu have all retreated from late-September highs, and each is now testing a support level that will define the next move.
  • XRP near $1.395 must hold $1.35; Zcash near $1,236 must hold $1,190; HYPE near $85.24 must hold $83; SHIB near $0.00000542 must hold $0.00000530.
  • Volume has been light across these markets, so a decisive close in either direction will likely require a pickup in trading activity.

What happened

Four tokens that rallied into late September have spent October giving back gains, and by October 12 each was sitting on a support line rather than a resistance line.

XRP changed hands near $1.395 after falling from a late-September high near $1.66. The sharpest selling came on October 6 and 7, when the coin dropped to support near $1.32. Buyers pushed it back up, but the bounce has been weak and the main trend still leans down. XRP is trading just below its 50-day average near $1.40, with its long-term average near $1.34 sitting directly underneath. That lower line has caught price before, which is why it matters now. Volume over the past couple of sessions has been low, a sign the market lacks conviction.

Zcash traded near $1,236 after a steep fall from a late-September high near $1,700. The decline was sharp, but the coin stopped falling and bounced from about $1,190 on October 10, holding above that level since. The larger trend remains up: ZEC is still far above its long-term average near $750, a gap that reflects the strength of the rally since August. The short-term trend has weakened, however, because price is now below recent swing highs. Volume has been light here too.

Hyperliquid (HYPE) traded near $85.24 after peaking near $98 in late September and sliding to about $83. It has bounced slightly and sits just above its short-term average near $84 and below the $88 area. The longer-term trend stays up, since HYPE remains well above its main averages near $64 and $76.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) traded near $0.00000542, below its long-term average near $0.00000560, which keeps the wider trend weak. Price has held above $0.00000530 in recent sessions, so buyers are defending that area.

Market context

The common thread is a September rally that ran into October selling, leaving each chart at a decision point rather than in freefall. XRP, ZEC and HYPE all retain longer-term uptrends even as their short-term structures weaken, while SHIB never reclaimed its long-term average and remains the weakest of the four. Light volume across all four suggests traders are waiting for confirmation rather than positioning aggressively.

Why it matters

For XRP, support sits at $1.35 and then $1.32, the recent low, with a deeper level near $1.25 where the August rally started. Resistance is at $1.45, followed by the $1.50 zone, where sellers stepped in twice in late September and early October. A close above $1.45 with rising volume would strengthen the bounce, with the next target at $1.50 and a clean break above that opening the way toward $1.60. A close below $1.35 would fail the bounce, pointing to $1.32 and potentially $1.25; losing $1.25 would weaken the bullish trend from the summer.

For ZEC, support is at $1,190, this week's tested level, with the next zone at $1,100 where a deeper wick formed. Resistance is at $1,300, matching the short-term average, followed by the $1,350 area and the old breakdown zone near $1,400. A close above $1,300 on strong volume would return control to buyers, with $1,400 next and a move above $1,500 potentially bringing back the late-September highs. A close below $1,190 would fail the bounce, exposing $1,100 and then $1,000; losing $1,000 could signal the rally has lost its footing.

For HYPE, support is at $83, the recent low, followed by $78 to $80, where the September breakout started. Resistance is at $88, then the $92 area, where sellers stepped in twice in early October. A close above $88 on strong volume would strengthen the bounce, targeting $92, with a move above $95 possibly testing the late-September high near $98. A close below $83 would fail the bounce, pointing to $78, and losing that level could push price toward $74.

For SHIB, support is at $0.00000530, then $0.00000510, where a deeper wick formed on October 6. Resistance is at $0.00000560, followed by $0.00000580. A close above $0.00000560 would shift momentum back to buyers, targeting $0.00000580, and a push above $0.00000600 might retest the late-September high. A close below $0.00000510 would break the support zone, opening the $0.00000470 to $0.00000450 area where the summer lows formed.

What to watch

Watch whether HYPE can hold $83 and reclaim $88, and whether SHIB can close above $0.00000560. Until either coin breaks its range, both are likely to stay in a tight, cautious pattern. For XRP, the question is whether $1.35 holds and whether buyers can force a close above $1.45. For ZEC, the line is $1,190 on the downside and $1,300 on the upside. In every case, a clean move will likely need a bigger push in trading activity than the light volume seen so far.
